INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Clean the Air You Breathe

Indoor Air has been in the news for years with concerns about the spread of germs and viruses, harmful particles in the air, and mold and bacteria in the air.

Fortunately, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is not a new concept for the team at Stanfield Air Systems. We are IAQ experts that can help you with air circulation, air cleaners, and air purification. Let Stanfield help you make your air cleaner to breathe.

Indoor Air Quality

We can help you breathe cleaner air.

Indoor air quality is a growing concern. In fact, the EPA ranks indoor air pollution as one of the top 5 health risks, and 90% of homes have Indoor Air Quality issues, so the air you breathe at home is becoming increasingly important.

Air Purification can benefit any home, and it is especially recommended for anyone with allergies, sensitive airways, or asthma.

Stanfield offers a variety of solutions to effectively improve your indoor air quality, including Duct Cleaning, the Reme Halo, and Media Air Cleaners.

What can I do to improve my Air Quality?

  1. Change the filters in your HVAC system. How often you need to change them depends on the type of system you have, and factors within your home, like pet dander and dust build-up. Most manufacturers recommend every 3 - 6 months, but you may want to change your filters more often. Filter changes come with our Planned Service Agreements - click to learn more.

  2. Clean regularly. Cleaning dust, dirt, and other allergens that may enter your home help to keep the air cleaner and healthier for you and your family to breathe.

  3. Have your ductwork professionally cleaned. Stanfield uses the Rotobrush system, which brushes and vacuums at the point of contact, allowing them to remove dirt and allergens from your HVAC system without introducing any additional chemicals to your environment. 4. Consider an In-Duct Purification System for your home. In-duct air purifiers offer many benefits including they can clean the air for an entire HVAC system instead of just one room or certain square footage like many free-standing air purifiers. Ask Stanfield to find out which in-duct air purifier will work well for your system and address any specific concerns you may have.

Media Air Cleaners

Media Air Cleaners

Trap allergens and pollutants before you breathe them!

Media Air Cleaners are purification filters that are installed in your heating and cooling system and help keep your air free from potentially harmful contaminants and protect your heating and cooling equipment investment by keeping motors and coils clean from energy-robbing dust and particulates.

Media Filters offer whole house filtration with one device and can work with almost any kind of heating and cooling system, including gas, oil, or electricity. This is much more like a traditional filtration system, where air passes through the system, and airborne particles are trapped within a filter media. The filter in your Media Air Cleaner will need to be changed periodically, but your whole house will enjoy cleaner, healthier air, and your heating and cooling system will run more efficiently with fewer particles passing through your equipment.

There are several different options for Media Air Cleaners, but the ones Stanfield most often recommends are the MERV 11 and MERV 16. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Rating Value and tells you how efficiently the filter can capture and hold pollutants from the air. 1 is the lowest, and 20 is the highest. We find that MERV 11 and 16 work very well for most households, providing whole-house air filtration and keeping allergens and pollutants out of the air you breathe.

To find out what kind of Media Air Cleaner would work best with your heating and cooling system, give Stanfield a call. We’ll be happy to provide options for you to make your air cleaner and keep your system running smoothly!
