Coronavirus FAQ for all of your Air Conditioning Repairs

Q: Is it safe to have Stanfield come to my house to perform maintenance or repairs on my HVAC system?

A: In most cases, yes. Stanfield is closely monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic, and we're taking precautions to keep our customers and staff safe, including only entering homes when it is absolutely necessary, wearing masks, gloves, and shoe covers when we enter homes, and following CDC and OCEA guidelines for hygiene and safety. The only time this is not advised is when someone in your home is sick or experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus, and it is not possible to complete the work without entering the customer's home.

Q: What is Stanfield doing to ensure their employees are not sick?

A: At Stanfield, we're taking our staff's temperature daily to ensure that they're not running a fever. In addition, we're asking any staff member that has been exposed to Coronavirus or is living with someone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 to stay home and quarantine for two weeks.

Q: Does the Stanfield Technician need to enter my home?

A: It depends on where your system is located and the type of work that needs to be completed. If your heating and cooling system is housed outside, or in an attic or crawl space that can be entered without coming into your home, chances are, we can complete most, if not all of the work, without entering your home. We may need your assistance from inside the house to turn the thermostat off and on again, but we can communicate via phone in order to do that if the customer is comfortable with handling a few tasks.

If you are concerned that a job cannot be completed without a technician coming into your home, please give us a call at 706-549-4767, and we can discuss the work that needs to be completed and come up with a plan to accomplish that work that you're comfortable with. Your safety and well-being is our utmost priority during this time.

Q: Is it safe to have my heating and cooling system replaced?

A: In order to replace your heating and cooling system, we will need to enter your home. Our installation teams are following the guidelines for health and safety listed on our website - to read those click here. Our team is more than happy to work with you to come up with an arrangement that you feel comfortable with if you need your heating and cooling system installed during the pandemic. We want you to be safe AND comfortable, and we will work with you to achieve both of those goals.
